Is it normal to try and like everyone?

Well I don't seem to take anyone for granted and can't think negative about anyone until I've met them! It's really annoying because I hear myself stand up for really evil people or mad people, which I know i should hate. I don't hate binladin (sorry I don't know how to spell it) an I stand up for suicide bombers. Try and protect their beliefs does anyone lose not really hate anyone ever... I it normal???

Yeah and I know I'm standing up for them, but we don't know what's going on inside their heads, or if their crazy and need help. And if u truly belief your saving someone's life by killing them, then you are being good, they do sacrifice themselves after all. It may be wrong in our beliefs but in theirs they are proving devotion, helping others from themselves. If it wasn't for the fact god is unlikely to exist then they would truly be saving themselves. Don't u think u have to know the complete story before your allowed to pass judgement. ( I know I don't understand their beliefs/ ideas much but they can't stand up for themselves as their beliefs are illegal in this country) ps. I don't think sacrificing people is right but they do !

Evil is evil, no matter what you believe. Morality is not something that a rational person should define by a holy book or political dogma. If something causes suffering, it's wrong - and if your religion or political agenda says it's a virtue, then you have an evil belief. And if something causes happiness, it's right - even if they tell you it's a sin.

Doing harm in the name of your belief is still doing harm. Therefore, it's irrational to stand up for Hitler and Osama bin Laden.

I do the same thing. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt or at least try to understand their motives. When it comes to people like Hitler or Bin Laden (haha) it gets awkward because I don't want to back down from my beliefs but...I know most other people won't really understand my position and might think I'm a Nazi or something. xD

I don't think you like everyone, but rather understand the mindsets of individuals. I don't like Hitler, but I try to understand his obsession for trying to create a perfect world, which can look like I'm defending him.
