Is it normal to truly hate christmas music

So it has begun. That time of the year where everywhere you go you hear the annoyingly cheerful christmas music. I was at Borders trying to study but the music was playing so loud unfortunetly i did not pbring my headphones otherwise i wouldve had them on, and i could not for the love of me study. at all. so then i get up and drive to the next barnes and nobles bookstore and even outside the plaza they have xmas music, institutionally playing at every corner. so i walk in barnes and noble n yet AGAIN that cheery holiday music is playing. in fact its playing as i type this. Its a high alto soprano singing at the top of her voice about reindeers, santa claws, i cannot concentrate
Is it normal? I feel like christmas is just a gloomy time for those who are unfortunate to not have a family or friends or anyone that to constantly throw it in their face what a wonderful time it is only depresses me more. not only that its annoying. the holiday music. shouldnt ppl be kind to others all year round not just when some commercial holiday dictates it?
