Is it normal to trim these strange looking eyebrows?

WOW! I've just seen a man on TV whose eyebrows run right round below his eyes and down his face to his cheeks. I've seen a mono-brow but is it normal that he (or wife) doesn't shave or trim these two banana shaped eyebrows?

    On TV everyone tries to stand out and be talked about in one way or another. Those who can't be 'that sports presenter with the piercing blue eyes' can still distinguish themselves by being 'that guy with the weird hair and the thick mustache'. In a crowded market it's about recognizability.

    Are you sure it isnt an allusion where it is mostly facial hair that is cut around the face to look like it attaches to the eyebrows?
