Is it normal to treat my birthday like any ordinary day?

It's my birthday tomorrow and I don't feel different or excited. In fact ever since I was in my teens I basically just treat it like any other day of the week. Not too unusual for those of us who don't like to celebrate birthdays, is it?

Comes with age. The more you have, the less you care.

I treat it as any other day as well. I see no point in celebrating my birthday, so I simply don't.

Seriously. I really don't care about my birthday, but when I got to college and made some new friends, apparently they grew up with "birthday punches/spankings," and proceeded to punch me 20 times. WTF is the point of that?

Today (or any day) is a normal day for 99.762% of people. It's easier to fit in with the vast majority.

Well for me, my friends make it special. You have less than 100 default birthdays for all you know. Make them last :) A celebration every year! That would make life interesting.

I don't see any point in picking one day out of the year to celebrate your life. You should celebrate your life everyday.

I do the same. Although it makes me kind of sad. I've seen other people treat it like an ordinary as well. I mean for the most part it's really your family that celebrates it and once you move out it's kind of up to you on whether you even care to celebrate, so I've heard.
