Is it normal to throw out a picture of when your family was together?

I grew up since age seven with divorced parents am now 21 and am well used to the whole thing. I was cleaning out some stuff recently and found a picture of my parents and family together happy and whole at Busch Gardens theme park. Instead of saving it like I had so many other pictures I threw this one out, because what's the point in saving it if it wasn't meant to be? I love both my parents and acknowledge it is better this way, but is it normal to not see a purpose in holding on to those childhood memories?

I don't get the concept of family. My family is fucked up. I dont want to have anything to do with those people! It's normal that you feel this way, but one day you might feel bad about getting rid of the picture or maybe you won't:)

When you're older, you will probably regret it. If you still have it at your house, you should take out of the trash and save it. Memories are precious.
