You are talking art history. Not your ability at drawing or other art forms. So it depends on how your school views an historian, and your skills that way.

I have great respect for those capable of historical research. In whatever field. If you have skills in that area then be proud, and if they don't have that academic space for you, apply elsewhere.

Better still if you want to be an educator. Go for it. The world is in desperate need of people who understand and can articulate that it all didn't start yesterday.

some weeks you drasticly improve thats what i observed with my talent.

so just keep practicing until you get to that random week, and youll get there sooner if you dedicated an hour a day.

try this. Find a whatever job and take courses at a local school or something. practice and perfect your work. Keep learning and then go for the big goal.

Even if it's just 2 years, ALLOT can be approved on in that time without the stress of huge school loans. because your taking it for your own good.

You can be an art teacher for an elementary school or middle school. The ones I had in elementary and middle sucked.

That's what art school is for--to teach art. Hands and feet are most difficult to draw, but practice trains your eyes and hands.

What are you talking about? Art is in the eye of the beholder? If it's something you want, go for it, and if it doens't work out for you than leave it. You've heard the saying, "You never know what your missing until you try." You gotta be optimistic about this, and if you feel uncomfortable, take some art classes some place else until you feel good enough to join a college. Don't give up on your passion that easily. I always believed that if one wastes away his passion, he has wasted away his life.

You never know what you will do well in until you try. Nothing in life is easy, especially when choosing a career and the steps leading up to it.

People mistaken art as an easy way out, that it is fun but makes no money.

Don't think you are not good enough. Think of it this way, at the moment you are not the greatest you can be. If you work your ass off you will improve. Don't let people tell you what to do or not to do. Take it as advice. But if you really want something, work hard at it. You need to be mentally strong. Not all good things come quickly. And mostly likely you may have some break downs. But don;t give up. Most people lose hope or give up when they are soo close to their goals.

Surround yourself with artwork, go to the art gallery, museum, talk to your art teachers.

Who knows, sometimes one thing leads to something else that you never thought you enjoyed.

    Goodluck hope this helps!

Go for a real job? Bad economy...art is tough enough to make money in even in a good economy. Don't waste your time. Go for a more vital study and pursue art at a later time or as a second to something you can definitely make money at.

Money isn't everything. Actually, money is nothing at all. Living a long, wealthy and unhappy life won't count for anything. In fact, living a happy life won't count for anything either, but if nothing counts for anything because we all die and then it's over, why NOT choose to spend our lives doing what we truly enjoy instead of what will help us survive? There's no point trying to survive, dude, we're all gonna die.

Who needs culture or expression when we have money, right?
