Is it normal to think white women are more attractive than black?

I've always said that prefference isn't the same as racism, it really isn't the same. People can't control the type of features they like, and to say they can is arguing that people are born racist...

I do too. It's not racism, but more of what you're attracted to.

I think people have a natural tendency to be attracted to the most common race around them. Whether that's through everyday exposure or just media portrayal, I'm not sure. It could even be an attraction to those in power (it'd be interesting to see if a minority upper class is on average perceived as more attractive). At any rate, it's no doubt more complex than that (for example, there's definitely some sort of allure of the "exotic").

Bottom line is, I don't doubt that the average Chinese man living in China finds Chinese women the most attractive, the average African Man living in Africa finds African women the most attractive, the average Indian man living in India finds Indian women the most attractive, etc. I ultimately wouldn't call it "racism."

Two more things: First, I don't know about everyone else, but body shape is much more relevant to me than skin color.
Second, I think that, although none of this quite qualifies as "racism" to me, it probably has significant negative consequences for minorities (in any country). Especially for women, whose looks are often perceived as more important than looks are for men.

I see an occasional attractive black woman but not very many, same for Mexcians in particular, but Hispanic women. I mean, J-Lo's hot, but not too many are are.

Beauty is in the eye of the b-holder. My taste are White, but not blonde... brunet, red, or black hair is fine.... and I think Asians in general are attractive, even middleeastern or indian.

I wonder what the results would be like if it was white women instead of black ?

Everyone has preferences to some degree. It's no different to having a favourite hair colour. Definitely normal to think that way.

I don't think this is racist at all. Like ItDuz said, preference is not a sign of racism. It's just not. It seems to be common that when caucasian people say they prefer other caucasians that they are labeled as racist. However, if anyone else said the same thing about their race, it's not racist at all. I can understand why the OP singled out their preference of caucasians over black people because, if this person lives in the U.S, those are two of the most common races to choose from. I know that for where I live, mostly everyone is either black, white, or mixed.

Maybe that's just your preference.

if you're talking about ordinary white women-like the average fatties walking around, then they are as equally unattractive to me as ordinary black women.

If you're comparing the most beautiful women in the world then I think there is no comparison-the white girls handily win, assuming you have a preference for symmetrical faces.

But I prefer white girls who can tan well. The ones who can't tan are at an evolutionary disadvantage imo. If they're too white they look more like ghosts-but then it can also be attractive in its own way.

Black hair, dark eyes, same shape nose and butt. Most Black women look very dull.
Maybe you like more of a variety.

I find east Asian girls the most attractive, Chinese and Japanese.

I have the opposite feelings. I have always found myself more attracted to black women. I am a white guy, in case you were wondering. I dont know why and no it not any reason in particular. They just look really soft to me. White women are beautiful too.

Your not racist. Even black men like white girls better! No offence at all and im not trying to be racist. But most African-american girls look dirty. Like ghetto dirty. White women are really good looking. Can't say the same about their personalities though...most of them are way too pushy. Never been with a black person, but the mom from the Cosby show is unbelievable (personality and looks both). Might even give up the single life for someone like her

Physical attraction and racism are not as related as most people think. Example: I find Eastern European women smoking hot, but I have a hard time interacting with Eastern Europeans in general (they seem too abrupt and pushy). I don't find Asian women attractive, but I love Japanese culture.

(FYI, the most attractive type of women, to me, are Hispanic, brunette whites and biracial black/whites)
