Is it normal to think this woman’s advice to another woman was horrible?

I was reading people’s posts on a blog site and the poster was complaining about her boss not giving her the shift hours she wanted. One of the people who replied said something like “tell him you want the better shift or you’ll MeToo his ass.” MeToo his ass means she’ll tell people he sexually abused her. Now, I’m the first one to think sexually assaulting someone is horrible and severely punishable, but you’d think making it up is just as horrible and punishable.

My concern is that women “crying wolf” will make every women with a valid claim of abuse less credible. Even if she was joking, that not funny!

So, is it normal to think it was horrible that woman would tell another woman to “MeToo” a man for personal gain?

It's reasons like this is why the whole MeToo movement was a bad idea from the start. It promotes the idea of guilty until proven innocent and it's gotten to the point where people can't tell who is telling the truth and who is lying or even who is just making a joke.

The entire #metoo movement sickens me. I am female. I think it pisses off a lot of women but you don't hear about that much because people are afraid that if they tell the truth they will be accused of sexism/ antifeminism etc.

        Yanno, I've never been to summer camp. The closest thing was when I went to a week long church retreat over spring break. It was fun, but I couldn't do that all summer. I prefer unstructured time to just be lazy.

I dont see why sexual issues are given a separate catagory.
No physical evidence.
No medical proof.
No DNA.
No witnesses.
No absolute date, a lot of times.
Yet, no statute of limitations.
I dont care if its catholic school, olympic gym practice, or bill cosbys dressing room.
If something happens, you fight it.
Then you report it.
You dont wait a year or 20.
You show up with fresh scars, blood and semen. Names places and date.
No excuss.
otherwise, bury it. Move on.

Wow, that is horrible. I hope this MeToo thing does two things. 1) sharply reduce the number of women getting sexually assaulted, and 2) make guys so afraid to engage in sex with co-worker that the value of trading sex for favors or other personal gain goes to zero.

Women can get away with sending a completely innocent guy to prison for decades by faking a sexual assault. Its happened plenty of times and will continue to happen. It's a crummy world we live in but it's a reality we have to face.

No because it actually works. Even if he hasn't done it to her, he's probably done it to another woman at one time or another. Men are pervs like that. One injustice is another's justice...so it wouldn't only be for personal gain.
