Is it normal to think they had it coming?

so i heard about this kid who used to go to my school dying in a car accident (drink driving) everyone was going mad about him, saying how great he was but i wasnt upset at all, infact and i know this sounds horrible i was glad, i have nothing but bad memories of him, he used to start fights with me, pick on my friends, he tried pressuring my friend for sex too, he was horrible to a lot of people, i guess what im trying to ask is am i a bad person for thinking he got what was coming to him, like karma caught up with him, dont get me wrong my heart goes out to his family and friends but i cant help but feel you make your own luck in this world and he mastered his own downfall, am i a bad person?

One of my high school bullies got killed by driving his car into a bus head-on on a rainy night.
    I pissed on his grave.
    Take that you fucking jerk.

This happened to me a couple of months ago, this boy, we'll call him Jim.

Well, Jim, he called me every name from buttmonkey to faggot to queer, and really helped enforce a lot of pain in my life.

Jim died with a gunshot to the head and it appeared to be suicide but social drama expanded it to possible homicide. I felt really bad for Jim's family and his friends, but the sympathy just wasn't there for Jim, and I'm a really empathic person. I feel for everyone and I analyze everything I do and think.

But the lack of sympathy could have come from having already lost two of my closest friends to suicide just recently. John and Jack, we'll call them, well John shot himself and Jack died of a heroin overdose. I felt so much pain for these two boys, tears flooded and my heart still aches...

    But not for Jim...

Death is a personal issues for everyone involved, even those who were seen as enemies for whatever reason of the deceased.

You can't control how you feel about people.
