Is it normal to think there were unique messages in lensman's books?

If you have read “Doc” Smith’s Lensman series of sci-fi books, then you know that the Children of the Lens and their parents were unique individuals with a special mission . Recently I came across an article on a website called the Awakened Ones of the Legendary 144000 which explains the unique messages and strikes a strange resemblance to the characters in the books. Did "Doc" Smith know something in advance??

"Play the record backwards and you can hear the devil speaking".
If psychics can read the future, how come they never win the lottery?
Gawd created everything, loves everybody and is all powerful, but allowed 800+ men, women and children to drown the other day in the Med.
If there is eternal life after death, shouldn't we all kill ourselves while we're young and healthy instead of waiting around until we are way to old to enjoy eternal life?
They say jesus knew the future; then he was a time traveler, not the son of a non-existent gawd.
Yep, I'm sure there are "unique messages in Lensman's books", cause that just makes as much sense as all above.

So many sci-fi books and movies seem to suggest that we have a higher purpose beyond survival. I haven't read the Lensman books but I'd guess "Yes". Like... the Andromeda series is loaded with inspiring spiritual messages. Or the movie Avatar. Or Arthur C Clarke's Childhood's End. China Mieville's Emabassytown. Tons of books, really. It's funny how sci-fi can feel so spiritual.
