Is it normal to think there are bugs under your skin?

My boyfriend is always saying he's got beetles / centipedes crawling under his skin or in his clothes?
He's tried to "burn out the bugs" with a cigarette a few times.
I dunno I think he's messing with me.

You should put real bugs in his bed while he's sleeping and then you can say "look babe, they came out. They're not under your skin anymore" and then the problem will be fixed. :)

    • Diagnosed? No. Would I say he has insomnia from what I experience? Hell yes

If not drugs, this could be a liver problem, but trying to burn them out is definitely not normal. Of course, he could also be psychotic.

Some legal drugs (eg codeine) can cause itchiness too. I suggest you encourage him to see a doctor.
