I have an xbox. And I love to play it. So... I know this may sound very strange, but in some games I play, I find the characters kinda... Hot. Yeah. I find video game characters hot. Is this normal??
Video game graphics are becoming more detailed to the point where despite looking at the screen and knowing you are looking at pixels it represents a very detailed character model that would be deemed as attractive, I don't usually find animated or video game characters attractive but I have to admit the New Lara croft was for last year's tomb raider,
This is so normal. No matter the medium, people will usually find something attractive about a character in it. Like kingofcarrotflowers said, graphics are getting better so there's more potential to make a character attractive.
Last year I had an enormous crush on Alexander from Amnesia: The Dark Descent. His in-game model and portrait are rather unattractive, but fanart and fanfiction turned him into a sex god. It certainly helps that his voice actor speaks in an alluring baritone.
Anyway, I loved (the fan-based depiction of) Alexander so much that I even created my own character who was based off of him. At first my character felt like a rip-off, but he's gradually taking on a life of his own. But I digress...
