Is it normal to think that the black end tip of a banana is a spider?

AS long as I can remember, i've never eaten that little black end tip of the banana. I pinch it off and throw it away. For some reason, I've always thought that it's a spider in the bottom of my banana, and I call it a "banana spider".

Is this normal?
Do you do this or have you heard of other people doing this?

  • That is so cute! I do the same thing, but just because it's a weird part. I do the same thing to baby carrots when they have that weird brown ring on top!

  • Sometimes it can be a spider because when the bananas are brought over here, the spiders get into the banana, I've stopped eating them since I found that out:/
