Is it normal to think that racism came from jealousy!!??

Honestly I truly believe that racism for blacks and stereotyping came from jealosy years and years ago. A want and desire to destroy another race so bad for no more reason other than jelosy of what another have not had. What was not there was culture and so many creative thoughts and very intellent mind-sets. Now kinda seems like it was taken away. I believe the jelousy was from knowing who the strongest and most dominant race to nature really was and being furious about it, turning it around more and more each generation for society to now believe that the white race is better, than any other race on the planet but realistically we have society has been graphted to now believe that.. crazy huh? what do u think?

Hmmm......not too sure about jealousy. I think it's more a mixture pride in your own race(superiority), fear, percieved differences, and ignorance.

I loled at the knowing who the strongest and most dominant race to nature really was
Mankind has evolved everywhere to adapt to the environment so obviously there is no strongest or most dominant in nature...your statement seems racist just for that.
Furthermore you talk about blacks and whites like if the other races didn't have racism in them...

I am not at all racist but am white.

When my young son asked me why people didn't like black people, I said that although I wasn't sure why I thought perhaps they were jealous of their suntan :o)

Honestly, I totally agree with you. I go to an all white school were people literally boast about my hair and how many colors go nicely with my skin tone etc. But then other times they would compliment my black ethnicity and it would actually come across as a very racist and rude thing to say and they don't realize until I point it out.

It's like an unconcious feeling of envy especially from the white women who go tanning as soon as they see spring hit. Racism is very subtle but still very there. It's not just jealousy it's also fear and intimidation and so many other factors...

And yes whether you see it or not White people do advertise themselves as a more superior/dominant race, it's everyyyywherree. The majority of magazines you see in the stores all have white women on it, and that's just ONE example...

i just think when you pick a race to pick on, FOR NO APARENT REASON. There has to be something that's bothering you about them!!..im mean seriously. What could you possibly hate soo much to take it to the extreme??!

    Oh please.
Humans innately desire power. And what brings power? Cooperation and banding together against a common enemy, thinking that your group is the best for some silly reason that you all have in common. In the past, it was necessary for survival and the allocation of resources, to dominate the opponent. Now, it's just something that is stupid and offends everybody, but it still exists as an innate desire to be better than others because for many many years, such a thing was necessary for survival.

It's not jealousy. It's the innate urge to gain more power for the sake of one's own survival, something that needs to be reeducated and reevaluated in this day and age.

I am not a racist, but i do not agree with your view of how there is a superior/dominant race. You saying that makes me believe that this is why many are racist, because everyone feels they have to be better than everyone else, and that is wrong. Why cant everyone just be equal and swallow their pride. I lose hope in society sometimes. Personally, i also feel that people are racist because they do not like certain mannerisms of someone of a certain race, and unfortunately cannot differentiate not liking a particular person or a few people to not liking an entire race. I think all races have a good quality about them and one race should not be dominant or superior.

Jealousy is one cause. There are many more, like hatred, ignorance, and fear. Also, you could be racist because of low self-esteem or because of your own personal experiences.

I'm not a racist myself, but I think some people have some fairly valid reasons for being racists themselves (at least from their own perspective).

Plus, if you believe in a particular stereotype, I believe you will see evidence of that stereotype everywhere you look.

If we link racism to a cardinal sin instead of envy I would say racism stems from pride.

Well, it's normal because that's how you see it, and people all have their own point of view. I do however, think that racism does relate to jealousy.
