Is it normal to think that people-haters are pretentious?

I see a lot of "I hate stupid people posts" on here all the time, and I seem to find these people rather pretentious to assume that they are so much smarter and are more entitled to life than the rest of the population, no matter how stupid the masses are. I feel smarter than most of the population as well, but the entitlement to life isn't something correlated to intelligence.

It's egotistic to preach your hate towards the ignorant portion of mankind, and it's ignorant as well because having a larger ego is a product of being misinformed, putting yourself into the same category of the masses, but with a higher respect because you flaunt your intelligence like a VIP pass.

I see nothing wrong with cynicism, and observations of the ignorant, but I draw the line at "sterilization", and "murder". If nature (which is the only true law we have) cannot work with stupid people, than it wouldn't have produced them. It's all just a form of balance, and hatred towards mankind is unnatural.

    I agree entirely with you. What you're referring to is eugenics. The idea that we can breed so called 'inferior' genes out of mankind with carefully regimented breeding programs. The most notable pro-eugenicist was Hitler, and he ran much of his ideology off of eugenics as a science. What he really did was varnish his hatred in pseudoscience.

    Is this a last ditched effort to put yourself above people more intelligent than you?
    You are obviously lacking in intelligence yourself.
    But don't feel threatened by the clever people. They are what holds this 'nature' together. Imagine EVERYONE was stupid. We'd be eating rocks and throwing ourselves on fires and we'd be all dead. Clever people help all people survive by inventing penacillin and stuff like that.
    But just because you're not clever doesn't mean the intelligent people don't like you. Just don't be a dick and you're oooooook!

      The clever people you're referring to also help people....the people I'm referring to want to sterilize people, and kill them. You're obviously taking this out of context.

      My intelligence isn't threatened, and if you think I'm unintelligent, it doesn't really bother me. It's a matter of perception, and I believe mine isn't distorted. I used to be the type of person who would rant about "stupid people" until I realized that it's just idiotic. BTW "holding this nature together"??? wtf are you on? Western civilization may not have stones and sticks and cavemen murdering eachother, but it's still a corporate ass rape nature that's held together by bull shit.

      I don't think you can judge someone's intelligence on an "is it normal" thread. If I did that I'd think you were a complete idiot based on your last post, but I won't, because I don't know you.

    I find it ironic that you make a post about your hatred for people making post about hating "stupid" people. It is also ironic that you hate "pretentious" people when this whole post is just that. Pretentious.

    That being said, I understand your issue. I just think that sometimes people need to vent their frustrations (just as you have now). I think that is what most peoples intentions here are.
