Is it normal to think that i'm the ugly twin?

I'm a girl, of course. I have a fraternal twin sister, so we look nothing alike. I've got dark brown hair and blue eyes, while she's got blonde and green. Anyways, people always seem to find her more attractive, and I'm convinced that I'm seen as the "ugly twin". People are constantly complimenting her; No one ever says anything to me. Some people will even come up to me and tell me about how beautiful my sister is. The whole time I'm thinking "We're not conjoined! go and tell her!".

Is it normal to feel this way? DO they only find her more attractive because she has blonde hair?

    Out of any two people, one will always be more attractive. That being said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I'm sure some people think YOU are the attractive twin. Just bite the bullet and move on with your life.

    brown hair and blue eyes are prettier in my opinion. kinda like alexis bledel

    It's normal but not necessarily true!

    My cousin was brought up with me and we looked and dressed so alike that outsiders thought we were twins. She's a little younger, so she was shorter but wore her hair longer. My mom went on and on at me, "Why can't you be more like ...? Look at her lovely hair..."

    She was a real girlie girl, so of course, these comments made me more of a tomboy and caused me to resent her. However, when we all look at photos my cousin insists that the photos of me are actually her ;o)

    It's only one person's opinion against someone else's. In fact, some people may actually be saying it to see your reaction or hurt you, if they think it's your weakness. Just nod and smile pet, and pay no attention to anyone trying to be cruel - they're just idiots!

    I totally understand how you feel except people have made me feel like the ugly roommate or the ugly girl at work just because my roommate was super skinny and my coworker was blonde and short and had huge boobs.

    How do you know if they don't compliment you by confiding in her? And i think its fairly normal, no offense but girls often seem to compare themselves so the fact that you feel this towards your sister shouldn't be any different. IF anything it should be more prominent because siblings also often are competitors in that one doesnt want to be in the shadow of the other.

    Also, the blonde thing is really a preference haha (:

    then y wud u want to be know these people if they obviously only like your sister for their looks arn't dont have any taste for personality

    could be alot of reasons why people prefer her, but one good side: people will want you for who you are, now what you look like. Think of it, how would you like to go through life not knowing if people like you or your looks?
