Is it normal to think that dolphins are stupid?

Their cerebral cortex might be big and all, but its just white matter thats it. We went to sea world and my boyfriend was OBSESSED with watching these creatures, going on and on about how intelligent they are, the "sea clowns" wtf and in my head i was thinking dude theyre just sea mammals they would bite your head off in an instant not because their smart but because its their natural instincts.

Dolphins get too much credit, and they are very sneaky for making ppl think they are intelligent.

    Dolphins are typically not aggressive toward humans. There has been only one case where a human was killed by a dolphin. The guy was drunk and waded out to friendly dolphin who rolled over to allow him to rub his belly. The guy instead started beating it. The dolphin rammed him and he died of internal injuries (served his ass right).
    There have been numerous cases where dolphins actually protected humans from shark attacks. For whatever reason they assist people in perilous situations.
    Your last sentence ironically hurts your argument, joking or not.

    I'll grant you one disturbing fact, some dolphins will try to rape you, no lie.

    Dolphins are actually one of the smartest animals. I haven't been close to one but I've never heard about dolphins killing people, so I'm sure they're gentle. And I found the phrase "sea clowns" cute lol

    We are the smartest living animal on the planet i see dolphins as the next smartest calling them stupid would be a mistake being stupid is being less smart than other animals of the same species. Then again who is 100% smart (exactly none).

    Only an intelligent animal could be sneaky enough to make peoplt think that they are intelligent creatures.

    Fun fact, other than humans, Dolphins are the only species of animal that has sex for recreational purposes.

    Dolphins are extremely social, clever and very interesting creatures. Very efficient hunters. I dont know why you would think they're stupid or that they eat people.

    Their diet usually consists of fish, shrimp, and crustaceans, not humans 0.o

    Do you even know what the cerebral cortex is?

    I don't think there has ever been a case reported where a dolphin bit off a humans head out of instinct. Maybe you should do more research on them before you start bashing them.
