Is it normal to think that being "normal" is abnormal?

Think about it , what is "normal"?
it's obviously ever changing with time
I mean i suppose it's what the majority think, so it's the common persons idea's or behaviors in a given time.
But its ever changing with trends and society constantly in motion and can depend largely on where on earth you are.

It's a little bit like the word "natural" what is Natural , If you believe humans are natural , then things they do are also apart of nature making things they create also" natural" as one friend put it, a skyscraper is really only a humans version of what a beehive is to a bee .

Maybe it's just being too analytical with words because we know what people mean when they say these things, which is the ultimate goal of language.

But to me it seems as though being completely %100 "normal" is one , impossible, and 2 it would be highly undesired, You want to be a little weird , right? like who would want to be the most common man found in all the land with no individuality whatsoever.

I mean obviously there are unsettling things that strike deep moral chords within almost all of us and having those be abnormal is appropriate,

But when it comes to behavior that does not hurt anybody else, nothing can really be abnormal , I mean sure you can be the only one doing such thing but it's normal to express yourself in weird ways and be an individual with there own special fingerprint , In other words it seems as though in many cases that it's pretty "normal to be Abnormal"

  • You should check out some psychology and spirituality.

People can form and develop in many unique ways. Really what should be looked at is how we define normal rather than the normality of being normal. I personally think it's normal to be an individual with quirks, it's rare to be a person with, for example, no mental deficits or shortcomings which I believe stems into the individuality of character. There are other things to look at though, and really for me being human is about expanding my awareness. I'm far from normal though, at least by my perception of normal.
