I love the Hellsing series, and I love Allucard, tha vampire. I was just wondering, because I am totally in love with him...I just keep on thinking about him and I think he's really hot, but when I told that to my friends, they were like:
*What the f**k?* all they like is muscly, short haired guys. I always liked a different type of guys.

    I don't think it's a big problem. My friends fall in love with anime characters too. Just don't go so extreme with them is my advice.

    The human brain hasn't evolved for ten thousand years; it cannot readily comprehend that fictional characters are not "real" and therefore cannot understand that it would be a waste of time to become attracted to them.

    Being attracted to fictional characters usually means that you have an active imagination and don't mind indulging your primitive mind.

      So basically yer saying that I have a primitive mind just because I think that a manga character is hot? Imagination is one of the most important elements in you mind "system" so I don't think my mind is primitive, if my imagination is "active".

        The "Primitive brain" is responsible for our "drives" eg. hunger,fear and sex.

    infactuation is in my opinion healthy but as many have stated taking your feelings to far for a character you will never meet will only hurt you believe me i was in love with haruhi suzumiya from the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya anime and when it sunk in that i would never meet her or even get a chance to woo her i was devastated and it took quite a while to get over!!

    I think it is totally normal! Maybe it occurs because we now we won't find anyone like him, as he is a fictional character, so he has been "made" based on someone likes. It is the same as the people who dream of their perfect guy, so it is ok, just don't get obssesive!
