I have taken many philosophy courses and watched a lot of stand up. I have found that a good comedian has much better insights than philosophers their observations of the social world are more accurate and intelligent than anything I've ever read from Kant Plato aristotle pascal whoever really

Comedians are great because they expose society's flaws. They just do it in a humorous manner.

I could see where you're coming from. Comedians don't beat around the bush with the truth. They aren't afraid to 'go there'. They come right out and say things that most people refuse to acknowledge. But I wouldn't say that it makes them more observant than philosophers. They're just more brazen about things that people try to keep out of the light, because a lot of times people are just afraid to mention it.
