the only difference between porn and prostitution is that there is a camera involved.
Nope. Porn pays both people, while prostitution pays only one at the expense of the other.
It's technically a different transaction...much like the difference between a lease, a rental, and a purchase are different.
Of course, porn shouldn't be illegal and neither should prostitution. The whole idea is silly. Whether I pay someone to mow my lawn, paint wash my car, or suck my cock shouldn't be anyone's business but my own.
It's job. Showing a body if there are people who pay for it, in this money-based society, is a job. Offering sex for money, is a job (socially not accepted, but it is nothing different from a job, if there's no coercion). The kind of job which can be mixed with pleasure, but one must love his/her job to reach the next day and so for years!!
So legalizing it is a good idea even because it would help eliminating coercion which alas exists.
Said this... when I offer a dinner to a girl and give her gifts hoping she one day will stay with me naked in the bed... and when it happens... is it prostitution? After all to have her I had to spend money and time, re-invent myself everyday, and if I have not the money to give gifts, to assure her "a life"... my chance to get her are less or more? I would say less... And when I needed to do so to court her... at the end, when succeeded... have I bought her love and (through it) the assurance she (maybe!) would have sex with me whenever I want to?
I think the answer to all is No. But so it is for prostitution: there's a demand and a supply... demand by people who just want sex without complications, and supply by people who don't think receiving money for their body is morally deplorable... and likely they earn more than I can learn in 1 month of hard work!!
So what about it? Porn is ok, if there's no coercion. Stripping and prostitution are ok, if there's no coercion. Everybody happy and nobody have to worry.
Just fight against violence and coercion and let people choose how to earn, respecting each others.
Please people. Dont confuse porn with illigal porn. You wouldnt confuse an action movie to a video of someone being shot.
Porn is just another genra useing actors, scripts, sets and props. The pay method is about the same too. Exept im not sure if they get royaltys. Illigal porn might be prostitution. Depending on if the employer payed the prostistute for selfish sexual pleaser while recording or takeing images. Its more complicated than that. People are usely higherd over the internet to act in porn videos. This could be seen as prostitution. But the actions are for the camera, the viewers. Aswell as them selfs. Infact to many this isnt a method of making money but indeed a fetish. Posting videos of them and their partner having sex. Useing it as a sexual stimulant. Overall, you're normal for thinking porn is prostitution. Many probly do. But it may not be right.
I'm super a-okay with prostitution, pr0n, and all that jazz. I just wish the grounds were more equal for women and men. w/e I'm just being whiny.
So if porn is prostitution then i guess all those actors and actresses in hollywood that have done sex scenes would get a hefty fine too huh?
Sure, and prostitution should be legal. WHat you choose to put your body to work for to make money is up to you.
Porn IS prostitution. So is stripping.
Prostitution= giving someone sexual pleasure for money. POINT BLANK.
NO, because the people paying the performers are not obtaining sex for themselves.
You are right. It is.But they are not selling sex itself,I mean you cannot actually shag with them, unless you are an aficionado or an heavy porn tape user getting into porn yourself. But I see why you think that.It definitely makes a whole lot of sense to me.And I must admit, sometimes porn just makes me wanna puke. Not because of the content itself, even if sometimes it's,questionable, but for just that reason.Because I think sex shouldn't be just another things for sale, for everyone to buy or sell,in any form.Of course that's just my opinion.Understandable or not,it's a matter of existing ideology. What an individual thinks is right or wrong. You can even be a pervert, but just don't be stock on a shelf.Just another item to buy.Alrighty then.
I really hate how some people label things that they hate, and then the stigma grows, now that it has a name!
We are mentally hard-wired, as males, to want to have sex with women. It is a throw-back to a primitive part of our brains, for sure, but we feel the urge, and the desire.
Most of us can control the urges, and just smile, at an attractive woman, rather than act out the primitive urge.
For those that lack, homo sapiens metal processes, they need the outlet of sex for hire, so that they don't attack random women in the dark alleys.
It's really hard to find statistics about how many rapes were prevented by internet porn, and porn movies.
It's a lot like statistics about how many people used legal guns to prevent crimes, or defend their homes and families.
People are always going to have sex, and 'advertising' is the way that they can connect. If you don't like it, don't watch; if you don't want your kids to see it, get a web-blocking program.
Under the First Amendment, pornographers, or 'Artists' have the right to share their 'expression'. We can choose to view it, or not! Sometimes, it is as simple as changing the channel! I understand their rights, and I chose not to curtail, or deny those rights, as doing so, will deny me, my right to say what I believe!
Freedom of speech is agreeing that your neighbor has the right to say the things that they believe, even though you object, knowing that limiting their right to say those things that you hate, restricts your right, to say what you believe!
No, it isn't prostitution. So fucking rollthe scriptures somewhere else, sheep.
It is!!!! They are getting paid so what bc they are putting it on film it's legal??!?!!? What?!?? That is worse bc they are infiltrating into our homes
I think of all of these people as sex workers, although they are involved with different activities.
lol diddnt meen that to be focused on redcarp. But he/she did have a good comment.
having sex is the natuaral balance of life its how u get children sex is normal ¬!
I have a mixed view about this. I agreed with SamuraiPeeper about consentual sex, but sex for money? That don't sound right, what if like for explain the large amount of money they receive as well as sex is fake, and everyone watch one (or more) of them get ripped off? More extremely, a videotape of date-rape included sleep drug?
I think pron should be allow only if both partner are conscious. I can say the same thing about prostitution, but I think that's more complicated.
I guess legally it's two people having consentual sex not for profit in front of a camera. Prostition should be legalized ASAP.
