Is it normal to think people who want a job are losers?

I think anyone who aspires to any degree to work for anyone beside themselves is a loser (temporary situations excluded).

OK, OK, some people have to have a job to support things while they get to the point of self-employed or self-sufficient, but if that's not your goal, if working under someone else is your goal or is OK with you, then IMO you're a loser.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for the losers. They must exist. But they're still losers.

IIN?

Calling someone else a loser because of their personal choices in life - choices made both out of necessity and just plain preference - makes you a loser to me.

So yes make fun of the working class and the poeple attempting to find work . I think we all know who the worthless one is here since everyone who trys to find a job is worthless in your eyes . Get off you butt and go look for work you stupid bum ! Do not call the rest of us worthless just becuase your a lazy idiot who likes mooching off other . God I hope you are never able to apply for aid becuase I would hate having to pay for you since you clearly think hard work is a bad trait . You are what is ruining this world and I find it insulting you would luagh at anyone trying or presently working just becuase you are lazy.

Loser or not, the large checks that I get handed twice a month, that allow me to do pretty much anything I want make it feel like winning every time.

I have the ability to hunt and grow my own food, build my own shelter, make my own clothing, and live completely independent of any other humans influence (as this was how I was raised). If the world somehow collapses, I can easily transition into this lifestyle, even having land to do it on!

However, I am not going to be some loser that barely gets by because he refuses to put a little bit of effort into making his surroundings better! I can take care of the people I love, because I put in the time to be able to do so. What can you do? Society runs off of paper money, have you ever tried to "barter" for medicine? They wont take you goats or your chickens!

    Comment Hidden ( show )
      -
    • He doesnt need to "barter" for medicine, he "makes" his own!

In some parts of the world they still use leeches to suck blood out of someone when they get "sick", apparently they dont know instead of making things better it just makes it much, MUCH worse.

But then again if you pray hard enough jesus will come down and miracle your ass healthy again I guess.

Don't you know that leaches only suck out the bad blood? I though that was common knowledge haha. And ya if Jesus was going to start miracling people healthy he is certainly letting the line build up!

How the hell am I supposed to pay off college? The losers are the ones who want to be spoon fed their entire life without having to work hard to achieve the things they desire. Not all of us want to be self employed or want to run our own business. People who want jobs are the responsible ones who are taking charge of their life; the people who sit around on their asses and ridicule other people for the efforts they put forth are the real losers.

Yeah, cos having the stress and responsibility of self employment/owning your own company is so much fun.

I'm self employed (sole trader). It doesn't feel like winning. It feels like a pain in the arse having no set holiday time, having to constantly worry about job security if I lose a client, having to worry about all the tax stuff. And my stuff is fairly straight forward. I've seen people with actual companies that they own (small busineses) and its that shit amplified plus more.

I see nothing loserish about people who who do not work for themselves.

I think I understand what your saying, but you really made yourself look like an idiot (don't know if that was your plan or not if it was, good job!) Your saying these people are losers because they don't want to be there own boss and have there own business, but instead would rather work for others.

If everyone could and did work for themselves and had their own business, then how would that work? I mean for example, if you were the owner of your own restaurant then you would need someone to cook the food, take orders and all that other stuff. But of course, if everyone had there own business why would they take a job working for a place like that when they have their own business to worry about? That really goes for just about majority of the businesses out there. I'm not saying all of them because there are businesses that require no other employees in ordered to run it but most of them. Without these so called "losers you were mentioning then half of these business owners wouldn't even have a business and if they did then they would just end up failing because of the lack of "losers" needed to run that business. I mean with the statement you made you just basically called teachers, educators, police officers, firefights, doctors, and other people losers because they do in fact work for other people.

It is normal for you to think that all people who want jobs are losers just because that's your opinion and how you see things. Bottom line your opinion was and is stupid.

It's fine to work for yourself, but it's not for everyone. For example, some people have a passion for occupations where that's not really possible, such as aerospace engineering or math research. Also, some people have difficulty running their own businesses, either because they find it easier to be given tasks than to manage their own, or because they're physically or mentally disabled. Some people, like me, have medical expenses (or a spouse or child with medical expenses) which pretty much require an employee insurance plan to be affordable (individual health insurance plans are generally shittier than group ones).

I'm really, really glad my fiancé has a steady job, because we can afford my medication and doctor's appointments because of it. The fact that we know that he gets paid regularly (which often isn't the case with freelance work, art, etc) means I don't have to ration my medication like I used to.

In conclusion, if you think scientists, people who support their disabled spouses, mathematicians, and astronauts are losers, I can't help you.

I find people who don't try to get a job losers. If you are perfectly content to just mooch of the government and not look for work, you have earned my contempt.

Welfare should be a temporary thing for people who have lost their job while they look for another, not for people to live on their entire life. People like those "third generation welfare families" truly disgust me.

Don't know where the OP is going but I think he's saying:

A] LOLOLOLO U SUCK CUZ U WORK JK TREROLOLOLOLOL

B] The people that work for others are not self-motivated enough to accomplish what THEY want but instead take a job to trick themselves into believing they are accomplishing something.

C] People don't want to work. No one does. The only reason why they work in an office to pay for a house is because they don't want to work out in a field, sweating like a pig on the 4th Of July to BUILD that house.

Everybody is working for under someone. Even if you got your own business you got to listen to the costumers and please them otherwise your business will go bankrupt. Of course having your own business might bring you more money, but at the same time its a bigger risk, and some people can't take that risk, either because they don't have enough money to start with or because they got family who depends on them and they need steady income, not risky one. Before calling anybody a loser, first become a winner.
