Is it normal to think of this for a scary story?

I had to come up with a scary story for my English class. My teacher told me to be creative and scary and I did.

My idea was for a 30 year old man to live in a big house in the middle of nowhere. He sees a woman out of his window and decides to follow her because he thought she was pretty. He followed her into the forest then finds a dead body. While he's looking at the body, the woman creeps up behind him, magically grows her fingernails on one hand, and impales him in the back with them. Then with her other hand, shoves it down his oesophagus and rips out his still-beating heart. Then she let's go of his lifeless body and devoured the heart. She then dissappears and plans what to do to her next victim.

I thought that it was really good that I came up with that but then my friends read my story and they said that I should get some counselling because apparently it's "disturbing" and "too scary"

So is it normal?
And do u think it's a good idea?

    It's neat, but your English teacher will most likely turn it down on the basis of grisly violence. Edit the parts involving nail growth and the involvement of the esophagus. The heart bit should be fine.
