Is it normal to think my boyfriend is gay because he hang out a lot with his friends and sometimes make gay jokes, but says he is just playing.
Making gay jokes or hanging out a lot with friends are no valid reasons for assuming someone is gay.
Why don't you just ask him if he maybe has some gay feelings? I mean, he is your boyfriend...
Hmm.. You're thinking of this all wrong. I have a friend who is like "Ahh!!! No, I'm not gay. Eeek, don't pretend to be gay with me. Get away!" He also reassures everyone he likes HUGE boobs. Even keeps pictures on him. I think. That friend. Is gay. He's so afraid of being gay, I honestly think he's denying it to himself. However, the friends that jokingly be gay with him, are so straight, they don't give it a second though. They know their sexuality and they are cool with it. I see guys act gay as a joke all the time. The guys who act like that openly, generally aren't gay.
This is perfectly normal amongst male friends. I acted like that frequently amongst my friends in highschool it was normal. We are all just comfortable with ourselves that it didn't matter.

My belief: I am a free american that has the right to believe how I choose! I also believe that if your kids can't recite the pledge of allegiance in school because it says "under God," that organized religion should be banned. I'm not by any means saying that I don't believe in God- I'm saying that just because I do- doesn't give me a right to wave that in people's faces! And so what if the dude is gay? "To each his own right?" And its not very Christainly of you to pass judgement on him for that! God is a parent just like many of us and he loves his children regardless! And you with all your religious beliefs??? How do you know the bible wasn't written by some guy trippin' balls on acid? I mean, c'mon... how many people actually carry on a conversation with a burning bush unless they're crazy or fried out of their skull?
It is normal to me but when you said about the gay jokes ... It depends what kind of jokes he is saying
That is no reason to assume he's gay. If he was in the closet he wouldn't be making those jokes.

Normal. Most guys tend to dislike homosexuals. And so to pick on one another as being gay is a male hazing so to speak. It's pretty common everywhere and sometimes it does get way out of control. I have heard guys mimicking sucking sounds and all kinds of sick mess. But yes it is normal.
THIS IS PERFECTLY NORMAL. Most of my friends are guys and they do this. I do not know why,they just do. Now I can see why you would be concerned since you are his girlfriend. Especially if the jokes are too intense. There is a certain depth where it gets really out of hand; I even have to turn my head to some of the conversations and go "WHAT?"
But, I have a best friend who actually is gay (in the closet) and there's a difference. He is really conservative..won't make jokes unless another dude initiates it first. And if it gets too far he'll stop out of fear of being discovered.
I have lots of gay friends and joke around with them, but I have no desire to have sex (or do anything sexual, for that matter) with a man.
