Is it normal to think most of what makes up life is bullshit?
Alright so ever since you are a kid you are told all these stupid things like "just be yourself people will like you for who you are" and "if you try your hardest you will succeed". Well isnt it unfair to tell kids stuff like that, to tell anyone stuff like that really? I mean think about it if being yourself is being a "slut" can any of you think of positive connotations to being a slut? What about killing animals? If being yourself equates to killing animals then arent you just being yourself? Wouldnt the words "awkward" or "freek" have no meaning since people would just say "She is being herself so she decided to get a tattoo that covers her whole face" and nobody would think its strange. But of course it isnt like that, a person who makes a stupid decision like that will have a terrible life going forward and certainly not find a good job.
And the "trying your hardest" horseshit, I mean if that was true wouldnt many more people be successful?? I am sure plenty of people tried their hardest and failed miserably. So whats the point in teaching that to kids or just saying it in general? Isnt it total bullshit? Shouldnt you say something like "Well try your hardest but there is a much stronger liklihood you will fail then succeed"
Why is it the ones who are the best at bullshitting everyone (lawyers, salesmen, politicians) always the most successful in life? Why does society award those who bullshit the most (and best)? Is it normal to think at least 80% of what makes up life is complete and total bullshit?
