I am a female. 26yrs old and married. I used to masturbate a lot but I stopped because I am a Christian and it is a big sin to masturbate. However I never come when I have sex with my husband. I often feel the urge to masturbate so I can come but I know that if I do it I would feel guilty and dirty because it is a SIN! What do you think?
I don't believe religion has any business getting involved in peoples normal, healthy sexual activities and preferences. Just because you're a christian you aren't allowed to please yourself because some crusty old book says so? You and your husband have sex, he gets off and you don't. That doesn't mean you have to stop there. Do you think if it was the other way around your husband would just let it go at that and not finish himself off?
Im not trying to bash you or your religion, i just think its ludicrous that people get brainwashed to believe this poppycock.
Where did you get the idea it was a sin? Did God tell you that? Or did you hear it from a fallible human being?
Come on did ever god spoke to someone? No of course not. It is nit mentioned in the Bible but tjere is mentioned that even the thought og being with someone else is a sin, let alone masturbate. Mind you I am not a person who goes to church everyday and I am very open minded. . However I think that it is a sin to masturbate especially for married woman like me. I am not saying that I hate it because I have the urge to do it quite a lot but I try not to.. it's like when you crave chocolate. . U would not eat it every time!

Growing up I used to be a Christian and very rarely did I hear that it was a sin. I think one time in the Bible it may have mentioned something like that but the Bible contradicts itself regularly anyway.
I think that what matters is that it's not usually preached that it's wrong, in fact I've never heard it preached about negatively, so I don't know what you're talking about.
Not a sin at all, I'm a Christian but I estimate that I have done it at least 4000 times before.

Seriously though how is self pleasure a sin it doesnt make sense to me, also, apparently it says in the bible that pride is a sin also.
How is self pleasure and being pround of oneself a bad thing?

I'm a Christian too, and I think that it's up to you. I guess if it distracts you from reading the bible or pleasing God then it's a sin. Hmm... Ha. Sorry. I've had better comments. It's 7 am here so I I'm pretty tired.

Masturbation is NOT a sin, quite the opposite in fact. It's great and you should do it every chance you get.
I think for married people the recommended way is with each other but anyway there is nothing 'normal'. I honestly do not think that the majority of married women masturbate. What fo u guys think? Or maybe the majority of the women that masturbates keep it a secret.
Masturbation is normal and healthy. Not doing it for a long period of time can in fact lead to bad mood, frustration, increased stress level and a low libido (which makes your actual sex less enjoyable).
So, not masturbating harms both your body and your mind, how should this be the 'recommended' way?
I know and I agree with you. It is something normal to feel the need to come and I do it but vety rarely cos I feel guilty that I will be punished.
