Never heard of him? Look it up. Ricky Gervais Show. "head like a fucking orange" guy. He has the dumbest, most insane ideas, which you'll never hear from anyone else. He has such a unique, strange, occasionally childish way of thinking about things. He once commented on a sign he saw saying that their chickens lived happy, nice lives before being killed. Most people would think that's nice, but Karl thinks that the chickens wouldn't want to die then. He says that if they lived unhappy lives they'd just be like "oh I hope I die today." What a strange dude.
Some people call him an idiot.
I say he's managed to "stay gold" all these years, has an amazingly open mind, and must be one of the most creative and interesting people on the planet.
That chicken thing wasn't a good example btw.
Really, look him up if you haven't heard of him.

    it's normal.i've been listening to "the ricky gervais guide to..." collection featuring ricky gervais steve merchant and karl pilkington and i think karl is smart and has a unique way of thinking (ricky describes him as having the same mentality since he was 12).I think karl is often ridiculed by ricky and steve because he can't express himself well. btw i think all three guys are really funny and if you havent listened to this collection you should, there are some real jewels, interesting debates and funny pilkington quotes

    I'm still not sure if it's just a character he does or not, he seems genuine though. I wouldn't class Mr. Pilkington as a genius, but he does come up with hilarious and sometimes brilliant and fascinating theories and ideas. Brilliant in their simplicity, kind of.

    Whether this is the result of a unique way of thinking not unlike that of people classed as geniuses or the product of a naive, inquisitive and childish mind is up for debate.

    Either way he's f'ing hilarious and has a head like f'ing orange.
