Is it normal to think im going to cut myself on my shower drain

There is this circular drain at the bottom of my shower. I always think im going to cut my foot on it, but when i step on it nothing happens. But I just can't stop myself from thinking im going to scrape my foot against it.

    So long as you know better and it's not stopping you from showering or anything, it's normal.

    But shower shoes are pretty cheap and easy to find nowadays, if it really bothers you that much.

    My parents had a shower drain like that too, when I was a teenager. I was always panaoid of the same thing. I hated stepping on it. Was one of those stand-up shower stalls...
