Is it normal to think everyone is lying?

Okay so I research information on different concepts and ideas quite often. I tend to research a lot in the field of the paranormal. From what I have seen, and heard: it seems as if everyone is just lying about their experiences....For example people having Near-death-experiences....It just doesn`t make any sense and I think they are just making it up to get money. Also all of those people who supposedly can talk to spirits etc. So my question is: is it normal to think these people are simply lying? Also, I`m talking about everyone who claims to have some encounter with the paranormal not just the cases I mentioned.

Enough people report near death experiences to imply something is going on other than lying. Some research I read years ago suggested that as the brain shuts down, it's not uncommon to feel a sense of peace (pain centres are shut down) and also to imagine a tunnel effect and a bright light at the end of it.

I didn't believe in out of body experiences until I had them. It was nothing paranormal. It was the result of very severe and prolonged sleep deprivation. And I'm not lying to you.

Sure. You can think and feel whatever you want. Just like I could sit here and honestly think you are a douche bag. Nothing you can say or do, and no evidence or research can convince me otherwise. Lol. See?

There are liars and there are people that are delusional.

I can believe that these people think they're talking to spirits, but they're probably imagining it. And there are some people that lie either to get pity, or to shock everybody. I say just ignore those people.

I did literally think I was dying once, I'm not making it up. But it was a while ago.

I think most of such people are either lying or hallucinating.
Then there is a group of paranormal people who are just confused and end up retelling your stereotypical alien B-Movie.
As for the remaining truth; It probably just doesn't make any sense unless you have experienced the very same (I haven't).
Personally I think most of this kind of stuff exists in one form or another and anyone may experience it.

Yes, there are people that lie about such things solely for the publicity. However, I believe that there are also people that actually have experienced these things and they do not brag about it, but would probably tell you about it if you asked them. These are the type of people that do not care if you believe them or not because they know it was real.

I think that we judge people as we live ourselves. It would never occur to me that people would lie to me. However I understand that some may for the publicity but I would doubt that people I know would lie directly to my face.

I can tell you one funny thing that happened a few days ago. My son said he dreamt that we had been burgled but it was strange coz we didn't live in this house. Eh?

We went swimming last night and met the people who bought our last house, they were burgled the night before! That house has never been burgled in living history.

Doubt he got it form spirit but it was strange!
