Is it normal to think everyone is focused on what you're doing at work

I just started at an office Downtown and I feel like everyone gets in my business and is looking at what i'm doing. I keep to myself and do my work but for some reason I always feel like someone is looking over my shoulder and it drives me nuts, is that normal for an office?

Wear a clown suit. Frown all day. Don't talk to anyone.

If you just started maybe you're being paranoid because you don't really know the people your working with. When I started a job in an office I had people paying closer attention to what I do but that was just to make sure I was doing my job right. It's just work get over it, if you're doing what you're supposed to be doing who cares. You aren't the center of everybody's universe!

I agree, you are probably just paranoid and think they're paying more attention to you than they actually are. If you are new they probably just want to make sure you are doing your new job correctly and not making mistakes.

Normal. You'd be surprised at OCD people spending time minding other people's business at work, even keeping tabs on what they wear and the times they come and go, instead of spending their damn time minding their own damn business and doing their own damn work! I don't mean to make you feel more paranoid, but be aware of assholes minding your business...its up to you whether you take offense or defense with these fuckers...
