Is it normal to think differently in relationships

I am 19 and I sometimes feel like I dont have friends that really know me even though I am myself most of the time for them to know me. Is it normal to think this; I sometimes also feel alone like I cant talk to anybody even though my friends say they are always there for me. I just dont feel like I have the type of friends that I can be 100% honest to without them judging me even though they are great and may not necessarily try to judge me.

Not as common but understandable 35

Everyone is going to judge you, friend or not....it's how they treat you after judging you that counts.

Start being honest/yourself and see who actually sticks around. I think you would be surprised.

A hard issue to grapple with - good for you. It is really important to realise that true friends love you and accept you as you are, without judging you. They can be very hard to find, and sometimes you need to work out who are really acquaintances and who are your real friends. That's not to suggest that true friends never confront us or criticise us, but if they need to they do so in as caring and compassionate a way as they can - for our own good. Perhaps it is better to have a few close friends who you can trust than lots of friends who judge you.
    With best wishes :-).

Same boat. Exactly. There's some people I won't tell certain things, and maybe one who gets whatever I don't tell the others. Same boat as original poster

One of my mates are the same. He has no problem speaking to me, but he does with our other friends. He seems quite comfortable around me (and I around him) but where possible he will avoid the others, yet he doesnt explain this to them.
