Is it normal to think cinemas shouldnt sell packet food?

Don't you just hate it when you're really into a movie but you get interrupted by people rustling their packets every few minutes. I get sooooo freakin pissed! DON'T get packet food!! in fact I think cinemas should just not sell food in packets altogether.

It is annoying. Sometimes it seems certain people do it on purpose to get a rise out of someone! They'll be rustling for the longest time just to get an M&M. I guess it could be because they're trying not to make noise, even though it's causing the opposite effect.

I try to open everything before the movie starts. If I have candy I'll dump the candy into the box and throw away the wrapper.

      Yes! I do that too.

I don't like to draw so much attention.

I see where you're coming from, but the food they sell at the theaters are a big part of their income.

It's normal but they make money from it. I especially hate it when people bring their own food. I once went to the movies with a friend and her mom. She had made us grilled cheese on whole wheat sandwiches and smuggled that stuff in the theatre!!! I was so angry at them, but I can remember if I ate it or not. I felt so guilty about it!!! >_<

    • try smuggling in candy in your underwear. also a tip, make sure you have on clean underwear when you do it, that was my mistake

Why do you hate it? It's often cheaper and healthier to smuggle in food, me and a friend always buy sandwiches from a shop next door, and most importantly they are much quieter than packets of sweets sold by the cinema :)

My last manager always brought food from home and would give it away. So one day he asked me if I wanted a sandwich he made and of course I didn't decline. I was just leaving to go to the movies and I didn't get a chance to eat it until we parked. It was soooo good, but I couldn't smuggle it in and the movie had already started so I had to throw it away! =...( It still upsets me to this day.

Why do they insist on selling drinks with straws in too?
