Is it normal to think anyone who believes in god is a moron?

god and jesus it's just a story to reassure people that there's something more after this life.There isn't!it wouldn't be bad if it didn't cause so many wars.When people ask me what's my religion and i say atheist, there like, outraged.and yes i do think your intelligences is questionable when u believe in god or take the bible seriously.

It's funny how mot wars and conflict are perpertrated by religion. And the bible also states that if your gay, having sex out of marriage, disobedient to your husband, sleep on the left side of the bed, eat cheese after 4pm then you need to be stoned to death or something. Doesn't sound very 'nice' to me!

I feel the same way, and I wish I didnt. I respect others religions but I always have this feeling of pity for them when they (in MY opinion) waste their time/money on anything church related. in my mind it is so ridiculous!

It's pretty simple to understand how religious theology was formed, in a nut shell: Good/Evil = Day/Night
The prophet (insert your prophet of choice eg. Jesus) = The sun
Erggg can't be bothered writing anymore, basically it's made up by ancient folk to explain the workings of the universe, it's all pretty much relatable to astronomy. Time to evolve past these ancient ideas and move forward. That is all.

Religion has caused too much conflict. If we just let eachother get on with our lives and believe whatever we want to believe, life would just go on without the conflict. Religion may be a coping strategy or reassurence for some people.

i dont believe in the whole heaven and hell but i believe in the fact that the message they are trying to portray as being nice to each other and respect one-another. whether you believe in a religion or not, the world would be a better place if people made the effort to be nice. and then when you die, if there is heaven and hell, then "god" would appreciate that you made the effort to be a good and decent person.

Personally I think people who blindly believe that any one who questions the church is going to hell are the ones who will go to hell

well to be honest monnas i want to believe that we go somewhere and not just no longer exist, even if we reincarnate as something else. but i like the good bits of the bible and the commandments. its extremely sexist but that is how things were way back when. i just like being nice to people and for them to be nice in return. i dont understand the mentality some people have to put others down for no reason.
