Is it normal to think america is a bit of a bully?

America's so mean to other countries a lot of the time and I don't like people that have American flags on their porch or whatever because it seems nationalistic to me. I mean I love America but idk. I kinda just look around during the pledge. :P

america is not. we take care of too many other countries and we do have the right to say what we want because the other countries hate on us even when we help them with an earthquake or financial problem. look at greece. they're being little pigs those citizens and we have helped them and so have some other countries. And america is not racist. we need to just -forget- about the past and our color.

Hell yeah America's a bully. We wake up in the morning with a cup coffee and a foot up some country's ass. Our motto is "Get with it, or get ran over." If we wasn't too busy ass raping Canada, we could have been took them over. Fucking neutral bastards.

  • We do bully other countries. Even with the middle east, we are forcing our way of government on them. Our will only and ever work for us alone. Your views are perfectly acceptable.

a bit of a bully. more like a 10 year old kid convicted of rape three times walking around a playground filled with 8 year old girls and no one supervising!

Everybody talking about how we take care of other countries. Yes we do. We take care of other countries before we even consider taking care if our own elderly, homeless, children with needs, starving people, unemployed, people who need life saving surgeries who can't get them and the list grows and grows while the immigrants waltz right over and get more government help than the US citizens ever thought about getting. This country is going to hell in a handbasket and our founding fathers would be appalled at the state our country is in.

I'm an American and proud of it, but I totally agree with that.
I feel horrible for all the people in Haiti, but I think it's a little ridiculous how we spent so much money on them rather than investing our time in taking care of issues here. And America, at this time, has a lot of issues. :/

I am a Native American. People in America think that we are extinct and that blacks and whites are Cherokee which is untrue. Our tribes still live and Cherokee is not the only tribe. I am not Cherokee. America is dumb down stupid. America brainwashes their children saying the reason why other countries hate America is because they are jealous of credit. No it's because America is rude ignorant stupid wasteland that is prejudice ( prejudging people for race, religion, lifestyle, clothes etc). So educate yourselves America.

Where was America when Obama wanted to cut off all trades between Mexico and Canada to the US? No where. Most Americans WANTED that. Yeah, screw over the international economy again, America. It's a well known fact that every step the US takes, is for power. There is no compassion.

The country america has continuously been a bully throughout history. The European settlers stealing land from the native americans. To interfering with other countries with military force or threats. This country is rude!

America is a continent. I'm assuming you mean the country, but even so. Sure, their government's not too good, but the people are really very nice.

America isn't that great at all. Most of the people in America would rather care about some 3rd world country than a neighbor.

Reading some of these comments makes my head hurt.

I'm Canadian, and I'm not feeling too friendly towards America right now, and neither are a lot of people in my country. I don't think Canada should have ever gone to fight in Afghanistan, but I'm glad we didn't join the Iraq War. The Iraq War was a complete lie, and has done nothing to stop terrorism (seeing that Iraq had nothing to do with the September 11 attacks). In fact, they've angered people so much that the risk of another terrorist attack is high. The world had a lot of sympathy for America after September 11, and the government pissed it all away.

Yes America is a bully, we have bullied other countries throughout history, just look at the war with Mexico, we started a war against a country who hadn't done anything to us just because we wanted a piece of land. Look at the holocaust we inflicted on the Indians, I call it a holocaust because that's what it was. Because the "savages" didn't want to live like us we decided to kill then and take their land. when it comes down to it though America is the greatest country that has ever existed, it may have problems, and it may be "mean" but no other country has ever had our measure of freedom and no other country has been founded on the belief that all men are entitled to try to achieve success. We are truly the greatest country that has ever existed

Wow, are you slow? We help just about any country that needs it. If it wasn't for us the whole world might be run by Nazis now.

I don't think we exactly bully, but yeah we can be pretty damn pushy about things. And like ten of my neighbors have flags waving in their front yards like they're so patriotic or some crap. Makes me sick. I'm usually the first to sit back down after the pledge. I never say it. I don't despise America, but I don't really love it either:P

As a proud American I can say that I am offended by the way you view our country. How dare you not pay attention during the pledge and how date you think the flying of flags is a little too much. Do you know how many people had to die for us to have those rights?!?! We are a true world leader and we will lead the free world into the 21st century with the courage and strenght it needs. I can say, with my head held high, that I am proud to be American!

I don't know about bully, but one thing I agree with you on is about the flags. They all seem to love having their flags everywhere like if they could forget what country they belong to in any second. OH NOEZ WHERE AM I FROM AGAIN? *looks at flag* AHH YES :D

Meh, I agree, America's machine is a bully. It moved into Iraq because of a lie. Its troops were set up to protect the oil fields. It pushed democracy down other countries throats even though it's the shittiest form of government ever produced, which is far from the republic that our forefathers envisioned. And no, America's machine can't do whatever the fuck it wants because of it's citizens. It would be dangerous to snap them out of the trance they're in.

Oh, and the value of our currency is controlled by a private corporation. Our government is the model of corruption.

The only thing we have over other countries are our citizen's will to do good. We put up with way too much shit from our government.

we don't bully other coruties, first off we are a girllia(world power)and we can litary do what ever we want with little talleration however we rarely do this unless it riskes our safty/sacurity.2nd people look at us at all times, we are being expected to do and help all these poorer countries when we just can't do everything.

    America FTW!!!!

  • What the fuck r u talkin about? America is generous and we help them when they need it. Ex: hati. We are in debt partly caz of helping them, and Im not saying tht we don't have problems but we really help other places. We want to make them stable enough to handle there own disasters when it comes along. And we r proud of our country.wats wrong with tht?

I read some comments and some are quite funny. European citizens have freedom (except Britain). US citizens are caged and controlled and apparently stupid enough to not see it, protest about it or attempt to change it.

I am proud of what America used to be. I love living here. No other country has the freedom we do. But I am worried for my kids. Will it be here for them?
