Is it normal to think all potheads are losers?

There are potheads who never let on that they are, usually only the stupid/obnoxious ones broadcast it all over. You might have a different opinion if you knew about all the closet stoners :)

It is probably normal to think that, however it is (probably) not true. The effect pot induces on someone can make them seem quite dumb for obvious reasons. Perhaps stupid people use cannabis to medicate, and intelligent people use it as well? If most people I knew who consumed cannabis were dumb, I'd probably think all users were stupid. I am not able to come to that conclusion. Most people I know who use are not dumb in the slightest. I would have to say that from an outsiders view, or someone opposed to cannabis use, the drug seems to have an effect that causes temporary stupidity. However I am told this is just because the user wishes to feel this way. That said, I can't say anyone really knows what it does to the brain, if not used moderately I'm sure it can cause problems. I'm sure in some instances it could be beneficial too? It depends on many factors. It's very easy to form such a conclusion as "stoners are dumb" but, who knows what is actually attributed to cannabis use and what is just an engraved part of that persons personality? Many people with personality disorders tend to self medicate, so one could make a correlation there I suppose. The answer is just not simple. I think people in general are quite dumb. Many peope are also generally smoking cannabis. Therefore many cannabis smokers are dumb. But obviously, not all of them? It's nothing I would take a liking to personally, but it definitely should not be illegal. I think alcohol has the potential to make someone go retarded more so than pot. Just my opinion.

It's normal to think that pot heads are losers as long as you realize it's not necessarily true. Try not to lump people together for one trait. Potheads are people first, and they probably won't remember or care that you think they're losers. It's a waste of your time to hate on people for smoking pot, really. There are far better candidates for calling losers, pick some who deserve it.

Just look up sir Richard Branson, and most of those people are losers without pot anyway.

Smoking it on occasion isn't bad, but all day every day can be harmful in the long run. I have a friend who smokes once in a while, and it doesn't seem to affect her negatively. Weed isn't as bad as crack, meth, LSD, etc...

Ya know. Im a dermatologist now with my own practice but before I was a doctor I was a huge pot head and I kinda actually was a loser. I didnt really have any motivation for anything. Then when I was 23 I decided to quit school and turn my life around. As an ex pot head I can say that the majority of pot heads are losers. Not all of them, there are exceptions but most of them are just losers.

From what I know, pot brings out the best in some people and the worst in many others. I have no urge to try it, so I have no idea how it works for me. A lot of them seem dumb as fuck, but there are undeniably some smart ones as well, just like with any cross-section of society.
