Is it normal to think all kids shows are retarted

I find those kids shows where they're always super friendly and like "the earth loves us all" that just annoys me, little kids need a slice of reality, how about hurricane Katrina and what's happening in japan right now? I don't really think the earth likes humans. And then there's like, "all animals love each other" NO THEY DON'T. bears and lions attack and kill other animals, they ARNT all friendly.

For some reason, people feel the need to shield children.

They don't discuss (and go to great lengths to avoid discussing) sex, drugs, world violence, racism and the like with children.

Thus, most people won't show decent TV to little kids. Even something as basic as a sitcom won't make the cut, just look at 2.5 Men. People realized they needed to shut kids up for an extended period of time, but TV wouldn't work. Thus was created the genre of children's television.

  • Am I the only one here who has no idea why you guys are talking about tarts?

  • I agree. Children's programmes should be actually educating kids to think critically for themselves, and learn about REAL things rather than mind-numbing shite.

And I was thinking a retarted kid's show might be a cool remake of Knightmare, without the stupid Eye-shield, or something similar - oh well.

I find it funny how all animals are friendly and lovable in kid's shows, yet in reality they would kill you!

Seriously, I always get cross when I hear about things being retarted. How come they get more than one tart and I always have to settle for one? It's like when a debt gets repied. Why two pies for them? Or when someone makes a witty retorte. Not only do they get double helpings, they get a funny torte too!

At least when people are sorry for their actions, they always seem to show remorse rather than remousse.

    • The act of retarting is not additive. It is taken to replace damaged or defective tarts. The total number of tarts doesn't change.

It depresses me that I am constantly required to correct you...

So there is old tart and there is new tart, but taken together, they are still only one tart? It sounds like you want to have your cake, and eat it too!

        • According to Einstein, tarts can neither be created nor destroyed. They can only change form. So bad tarts become good, good become bad. We always have the same numbers of tarts.

Except in bakeries, where they do seem to multiply. But for household purposes, you're stuck with what you got.

Is there a crown on my head?

Do you know how much this infuriates me? Although I could point out that the conservation of mass should be attributed to either Empedocles or Lavoisier and I could also point out that matter can pop into existence out of a sea of nothing (as long as an anti-matter equivalent also pops into existence), you have essentially put me in a corner. I'm impressed but also fearful that people will see how you did it, and start doing it themselves, but mainly just impressed.
