Is it normal to think about my fantasies so much?

I don't mean sexual fantasies.

Fantasies as in stories. I get that people has fantasies going on around their head, but for me, I tend to think about them a lot.

I keep thinking about my fantasy. It's about someone who got manipulated by the royal government. He got treated badly in return and then turned insane and abandoned his identity completely, bent on taking down everything at all costs. And sometimes it involves my favorite video games that I play. Actually, they're somewhat a mix and crossovers of the games I played.

If you have stories and fantasies that you also keep, you can also share them. I'd glad to hear from others.

I spend the vast majority of my time daydreaming.

The cast of characters changes constantly, but the plot is always the same: A young woman lives a dual life, one in the real world where she is basically a womanchild/basement-dweller and one in her mental world where she has a house full of imaginary friends whom she calls upon to help her fight her inner demons (who take the shape of literal demons in her mind's eye).

During battle, she "absorbs" (for lack of a better term) her imaginary friends and takes on their characteristics/powers.

She can also "absorb" her imaginary friends and take on their personalities in real world situations when she doesn't want to deal with difficult emotional problems herself.

  • Very normal. I had three and a half hours to kill this morning so I laid in bed the whole time and fantasized about my own long running fantasy story. It was so awesome.

    • Our daydreaming and imaginations works wonders. You can slay the villain/hero/character you hate, mock them.

Mocking Lancer from Fate/Stay Night and rich noblemen...

  • Consider writing fiction.

    • Yeah, it's long enough to create a dozen of chapters.. but I'll have to recall a lot of my thoughts on all of it. I'll be writing on PC. I don't do well at handwriting. I'm lazy and I suck at it.

But I don't know if I'll distribute it, I'll just keep it somewhere to entertain myself and my close friends.

Try sucking a cock as a fantasy and then do it as a reality. If you like please get in touch with me.

So glad you posted this. I spend a large amount of my time daydreaming. At my job I sort of go on autopilot - do my work and simultaneously daydream. My daydreams always involve my favourite characters from various book series that I like, putting them in wildly different situations and time periods.

Vivid fragments replay over and over again. I enjoy adding great detail with each rerun, like the woodsy scent of a person, the way the sun reveals the red in her dark hair, the smell of snow, forest and firewood.

I go on walks for 2 hours at a time and daydream. I also spend about an hour lying in bed every night daydreaming until I fall asleep. It's my favourite past time.

    • And I'm glad that you are same as me.

Different time periods, like my character goes on different worlds, dimensions, timelines etc. It involves the characters on the video games that I have played instead.

And I describe them too, while them doing actions. "He concentrated on channeling mana with the right amount of energy, by looking at his face. After a while, he released the charged energy blast".

And I do them while listening to music too.

I have one all the time, it passes boring moments like work and trying to fall asleep. I'm too afraid to write about it though, because people might find it offensive in ways. It's not sexual either. I've drawn some of the characters for it but that's about all. Also I have really vivid dreams and enjoy continuing some of the better ones after i've woken up and throughout the day, to see if it's possible to make coherent stories out of. usually, not so much, but they're still fun to me.

    • Yeah. Same, same. A reason of my delirium sometimes. I always try to think all of it most of the time, on work, walking, relaxing, daydreaming or when about to sleep. It kills boredom.

On me, it doesn't matter if your story is offensive or sexual. I'm open minded when it comes to these things.

Yeah, me too. Do you write? I like to turn my into stories.

    • Maybe. I'm actually thinking whether to write it or not. I guess I'll take a shot at it. Nothing can go wrong with that.
