Is it normal to that your dreams are like coasters you cant wake from

Whenever I have nightmares its like a nonstop ride . Most my dreams are like old monster movies from the 80s were their will be some kids at a diner and swamp monster run through the shop and everyone runs . However Even if I am able to realize I’m dreaming in the middle of my dream I still can not force myself awake I have to continue to the end of my horror . It is like a ride you got on that you go on and change your mind 5 minutes after you ride it but you have to endure the rest of the ride till it is done . However mine keep me strapped in the ride till I get to the conclusion of my dreams when I end up defeating the monsters and become a hero and everyone loves me .

That's the thing about nightmares, they often can't be stopped until you wake up. Yet, when you awake the fear often manages to transcend into this "world". It would probably be best to learn how to Lucid Dream.

I love dreaming but the downside of it. It's just not 'real' while 'real' in the mind. But sooner or later you'll have to wake up.

Mine are like that sometimes, they're usually sex dreams though. My entire dream is leading up to me having sex with someone and then I wake up before it begins or right in the middle of it. Talk about goddamned depressing.

I used to also have nightmares that I was in a village where everything was built out of huge Lego blocks and that a T-Rex was rampaging through the place and that I had no where to hide because all the furniture in the Lego house was blocky and shit and I remember feeling the ground vibrate as the T-Rex got closer and closer and finally he tore the roof off and roared in my fucking face and I woke up. I had this nightmare regularly.

LOL yes but mine are not usually about sex they are about things like " Oh yay I got the dvd I wanted I randomly found on the street " or something like " Ice cream , Ice cream , Ice cream ". I like sweets and caffienated beverages .

    Oh roller coasters.

I think you should try to think of something else to send yourself off to sleep. Its possible that you start this dream (again) just by thinking about it when you're awake.

Although it is virtually impossible to perfectly guide our subconscious whilst asleep, you have obviously got into a pattern that you need to break, otherwise godzilla may be the next character you dream of (I probably shouldn't have mentioned that)

Maybe associate those dreams as being awake thoughts. Then you may actually awake from them.

I've had re-occurring dreams as well, it IS annoying. I wake up thinking why have I dreamed that again, it must be the most boring dream ever for my mind, I KNOW how it ends damn you!

Haha, I've only had one dream, that I can remember, where I couldn't wake up until the dream finished. I do however have dreams where I'll wake up and want to go back to sleep and the dream continues. If I like a dream I'm having and I'm interrupted I'll force myself back to sleep.
