Is it normal to text a girl almost a month after we stopped talking

I met this girl online who I really liked but I tried talking to her for a couple of weeks and could never tell if she liked me at all and I could never get her to really open up. I eventually just stopped trying and she never tried to contact me again. I know that this girl in particular is pretty shy so maybe she is just acting introverted. Would it be normal for me to text her nearly a month after the fact?
