Is it normal to test your erotica writing abilities?

okay, so here's the deal: i'm a writer anyway (i don't do it as a MAIN job, i have a day job). but i do write for fun. and i like porn. except you know, porn is so unsexy that it doesn't really have a storyline/involve feelings. anyway, cut a long story short, i know this site where people talk about their sexual experiences to strangers online (mostly anonymous although some older folk are naive about it and will post actual pictures of themselves. LOL). so anyway, i start writing erotica there (not REAL experiences, but i make them sound real. although i do sometimes pretend to discuss a "fantasy". ha!). because they're fabricated, i get to exaggerate and make it steamier than most of my real sexual experiences.

so i come up with this strategy of "accommodating" or "catering" to a wider audience, if you will, by writing about things that personally don't really turn me on but i knew a lot of people were into (at one point, i even wrote a story about sex in the shower featuring this really yucky fetish some like, which i wrote whilst cringing, but i managed to make it sound like it was the hottest thing that ever happened to me). in reality, my sex life is ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! LMAO.

so anyway, at the website, people get to comment. and some of them complimented my writing abilities. which RARELY HAPPENS when i write non-erotica. see, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I DID IT. i wasn't even doing it to kill time! i just "felt like it", i guess? and now i think i could make money out of this to pay for a mortgage. LOL! has anyone done this before?

i have written erotica just to see how people react to it 4
i have NEVER written erotica just to see how people react to it 2
i've thought about writing erotica just to see how people react to it 7
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Just put it in the first person and say the other person was your sibling. Then submit it and you'll fit right in here.

I you had any doubts that erotica sells, know that 50 Shades of Grey started its life as Twilight fanfiction, and that woman is rich (in writer terms) now.
Erotica has fascinated people since we first put pen to paper. Your writing isn't even necessarily -better- whilst writing it--most people don't pay much mind to grammar and the like when they're turned on.
