Is it normal to talk to a person you met online 24/7?

I can really tell that one of my best friends is a person I met online 2 years ago and we have never met. I havent stopped hanging out with my other friends at all but now I consider her one of my best friends.

It's normal. Don't get rid of your other friends though - variety is good.

It's completely normal. I met many of my best friends online, and although four or so live about an hour away, they have helped me through more than just about anyone else. So don't listen to people who say making friends online is weird. It's normal and quite commonplace among today's youth.

I prefer people I don't have to actually meet. Every friend I'd ever had, with the exception of two who are no longer friends, have been online.

Yeah, it might be words on a screen rather than a letter or sitting down for coffee together, but the feelings are independent of the medium they're expressed in. You don't feel differently about someone just because you contact them a different way.

It happens. The friend I feel most comfortable talking about anything with, and who probably knows most about me is someone I met online maybe three years ago. We've not met because he's in England :(
