Is it normal to talk in your sleep?

It happens often that when i fall asleep, I've been told that I talk in my sleep. For instance,if I'm having a conversation with someone in my dream, I'm actually saying complete sentences out loud. If I'm angry at someone in my dream, i start yelling out loud. i don't realize I'm doing that and i become worried that it might be a sleeping disorder.

I have been talking, shouting, yelling, mumbling, and screaming in my sleep for as far back as a small child. I am now 40. I have severe insomnia, and restless leg syndrome. I also suffer from nightmares and night terrors. Talking in your sleep is very common, being able to understand what is being said, is not common. It can get a person into a heap of trouble! Lol. Don't worry about it! You are totally normal!

Haha! My brother in law does this. One morning my sister came over and told us this funny story that he literally sat up in his bed while he was asleep, and he was having a full conversation, and she had no idea what the hell he was going on about.
