Is it normal to take things without asking?

My brother is so annoying. I was about to get in bed to go to sleep and I was about to plug in my phone only to find that my charger was gone. So then I had to put on tons of clothes to leave my room and get all stressed out and look for my charger. My brother should use his own charger. It's not my fault that he leaves it at college when he goes back and forth from home and college. I don't care that I wasn't home all day and that he doesn't have my phone number. He could have asked my mom for my phone number. That doesn't give him the right to go into my room and take my charger without asking. He could have asked my mom for my number and told me that he needed to use my phone charger, and I would have been fine with him borrowing it. I don't appreciate that I was all ready for bed and I was perfectly calm and now I'm still awake and all stressed out, all because of my brother. I should hide my phone charger from now on.
