Is it normal to take nyquil for long period of time?

I've been using NyQuil for five years now, over the years I double my doses and I am starting to take two doses with a third small cup of it so I am working my way up to three now. I take two full cups and a small third cup that comes with the bottle. I have a terrible sleep problem, I suffer with stress and my only way to get to sleep is with NyQuil and I didn't have this sleeping problem until I started taking it. I mean I had sleep problems before the NyQuil but I guess it gotten worse after I started using the NyQuil. My best friend and My Husband are worried for my health and they believe that my NyQuil could kill me or hurt me because I've been taking so much for so long now and because I'm small too.

So could my NyQuil cause me health problems or could it kill me? If it matters my height is 5'1 and my weight is 95.lbs so could the NyQuil cause me problems since I'm a small girl or it doesn't matter. Just wondering and like to get advice so I would know what to do in the future. If I did stop taking my NyQuil, how could I stop? I'm addicted to taking it now so I'm not sure how to stop from taking it.

Sorry for all this, just want a advice.

    What you are doing, overdosing on an OTC product, is indeed very, very dangerous. After 5 years, you may have already done irreversible damage to your system, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a very complete physical.

      Thank you. I do know now when I take my NyQuil my stomach and chest hurts every time I take it. It's not a very bad pain but it's uncomfortable.
