Is it normal to take care of your boyfriend and he ignores you for it?

We were fine up until his stomach started hurting worse than normal, bad enough he finally goes to hospital. He would yell at me, not ask but demand things. I have been taking care of him nonstop, no kind words. I even say I just want to be able to spend time. He now snips when he says anything (and we live together) and stays in the living RM when I'm in bedroom and vise versa. This has been going on for a week. I have to bear the brunt and he can't even speak a kind words. Is it still ok?

Talk to him, share your feelings and explain your concerns. If he acts like a jerk maybe he's not worth the trouble?

Most likely he got bad news at the hospital, and doesn't know how to handle it emotionally; so like every other emotionally inept person, he's using anger to deal with shit and since you're close to him, he's taking it out on you.

Tell him to stop, and to talk his feelings out.

If he wasn't acting like that before he was sick then it may have to do with his illness. If he is still in pain it could be just be that making him irritable. I get the same way when I have migraines so I would assume that bad enough stomach pains could cause it. Also some medication can cause people to be irritable so if he was prescribed anything at the hospital check the side effects of it to see and also talk to his doctor about it.
