Is it "normal" to take antidepressant to be less emotional sensitive?

... with sensitive I mean for example someone is teasing me.
Normally, I tend to cry afterwards, cannot concentrate then and be a "pussy". After that, I'm paranoid that everyone hates me and people are looking at me.

I'm not resilient enough and I am also stress sensitive, especially when I haven't slept enough.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

It's normal to feel like that if you are being teased and aren't sleeping properly. Antidepressants won't stop you being teased sadly. Talk to your parents or somebody you trust if you're unhappy.

I don’t mean real teasing. What I actually mean is another form of making jokes about me, or provoking, irritating me but it’s far away from bullying!

Problem is that I take everything too personally and if people laugh about me, I get these things I mentioned above. Medication helps me to ignore these negative emotions easily and I don’t overthink the situation and don’t think if everybody is hating me.

It’s normal that teenagers are making jokes about others, especially boys (not all of course).
Most guys can handle this, but I rather feel ASHAMED and feel ATTACKED and be embarrassed.
Now I feel more resilient, probably because of the medication, and I’m able to handle such things and actually can laugh with the others and don’t get depressed, but I don‘t know why I’m normally so sensitive.

I think no men is so sensitive like I am.
