Is it normal to switch career ideas so much?

Hi

Bottom line is, i'm 18, and i keep changing my mind as to what i want to do as in a job and career. I keep persuading myself that my love is much, and that i want to follow that, and feel i will success from it. And another part of me is always saying that i want to make videos, be a vlogger, and write sketches.
Is it normal to constantly change ideas at such a late age?

Thanks, Josh :)

YES. I feel your pain entirely. Today I was 100% sure i was going to dedicate my life to become a novelist... then a broadcast journalist, then an international lawyer, then a psyciatrist and finally a dentist. And I'm 18 as well. Sigh.

I'm in my 30's and dream of different things everyday.

The only way to find out is to just keep going along and find out what you like the best.
I was accepted to go to pharmacy school but the semester before I was going I took a microbiology class and decided that's what I want to do. I don't see how 18 is a late age! Now I feel old.

Oh, what's that bad day at work? You are no match for the old dappled man.

Damn you dappled, I could have easily landed the role of Ragey dwarf and you went and made me laugh.

    So I guess I won't hurt you...yet.

Late age? I'm in my 30's and I still don't know what I want to do for the rest of my life. But I like my current job so I'll stick around a while. As long as it doesn't interfere with my general happiness I'm good.

I heard they were making a Snow White sequel and looking for dwarf number eight. You could be Shorty, the tall dwarf.

P.S. Don't hurt me too much.

I was going to be a maths/science teacher, then an actuary, then a research physicist. I ended up writing computer games, then in pharmaceuticals, and finally with a job so unique it doesn't even have a title.

Maybe I've been lucky, but jobs have always found me, rather than vice versa, and the good ones I stuck with. In short, don't worry. No-one walks into a lifelong career these days. It always takes a while to evolve.
