Is it normal to suddenly stop feeling for someone?

So my friend was absolutely IN LOVE with this guy who I thought was perfect for her. When they FINALLY started dating, she stopped liking him IMMEDIATELY. It was actually jarring. She broke up with him for her platonic best friend, completely breaking his heart. Is this normal?

Some people just love the chase, not the actual relationship.

      This.

Also, I have been here before. I was really attracted to the guy but when he agreed to date me and I got to know him better, I couldn't believe I thought that douche was worth my time.

If she stopped liking him so quickly it must have been his personality.

Maybe that best friend is not platonic anymore?
Anyway isn't better to be with your Lover/BestFriend/SoulMate & SoleMate forever?

  • Thanks for the comments, guys. She said that it wasn't exactly his personality, he was really good to her, she just preferres liking him rathee than dating him. I think it's odd, but it's her choice, not mine.

Have you ever heard of the saying, "The grass is always greener on the other side."

This depends on age if your in the late teens or early 20tys it is normal, It can be the case of wanting what you can't have and when your successful well you get bored you don't want it.
