Is it normal to suddenly have your hearing/vision get distorted?
[I know, the title is strange, but I had trouble finding the proper wording. :) ]
So, basically, - and it's happening right now, which is why I'm here - sometimes both my hearing and sight will go funky. It doesn't happen regularly, although it usually happens when I'm on the computer. I can't really think of a time it's happened elsewhere.
Hearing symptoms : things sound muffled to me, and sounds like typing or my own voice seem like they're coming from inside my own head instead of wherever they're actually coming from. There's a constant "white noise" sound, and it kind of feels like my ears are stuffed with cotton. Also.. and here's the REALLY weird part.. whenever I think something in my head, it's like a voice that isn't entirely my own is whispering it in my mind instead of just regular thoughts. It happens with outside noises, too - like when I'm typing, I swear I can hear this muffled voice talking with each keystroke but it's not really saying 'words.'
Sight symptoms : I have trouble focusing my gaze, although I CAN see, and it feels like things are way farther away from me than they are. Kind of a disembodied sensation, like I'm only half here and I'm peering in toward my desk.
It's faded away by now.. and except for feeling a little fuzzy-headed and still kind of unfocused with my gaze, I'm back to normal.
.. is something wrong? O_o; am I crazy? Is this a symptom of being infront of the computer screen too long?
