Is it normal to suddenly have red marks on your neck?

Okay, so today one of my friends noticed these small red marks on my neck
he said they kind of looked like "hickeys" (they defiantly weren't but that was the description he gave them), about 2 minutes after her pointed them out I started getting more of them
and whats worse is that they started to flare up and itch, i have not had any kind of viral illnesses recently and I have never had chicken pocks but I did get the injection when I was younger, I also don't have allergies to anything, at the moment it has spread down my neck and across my chest.
any advice welcomed.

normal, probably a skin rash. 19

There are literally dozens of reasons why this could be, and anyone on this site who professed to diagnose the exact one of those reasons shouldn't be trusted. Although it's probably nothing to worry about, you could consult a doctor.

Have you HAD an allergy test? You could be reacting to anything - soap, lotion, household cleaners, foods - but the only way to tell is to get your butt (or neck, as the case may be) to an allergy center, and/or dermatologist.

Also, check your house for mites or bed bugs.

Btw, chicken pox are more bumps. This sounds like a heat rash (not saying it is but looks similar)

This sounds like the skin condition I have, dermographia. You should look into it.

It would only be dermographia if it goes away though...

I had the exact same thing happen to me a week ago in the exact same spot. My friend asked who had been giving me hickeys. I think it might have to do with the skin cream I am using. (I use epiduo skin cream) and also take a prescription med for it, maybe it's that or maybe it's just allergies?

You might have allergies that you don't know of or it could be any form of fast-spreading skin disease. The fact that it's spreading and itches means that you probably should seek medical attention.
